He obtained his law degree from the Universidad Privada del Valle (UNIVALLE), La Paz, and is General Director and Founding Partner of the law firm VGMS ABOGADOS Y CONSULTORES S.R.L., where he provides general legal advice, with special emphasis on corporate, tax, corporate, public and private contracting, immigration law and intellectual property.

In his time at Moreno Baldivieso Law Firm initially and at Gabriel Patent and Trademark Office S.R.L. for more than 20 years, where he practiced in the area of Intellectual Property and immigration law, his career began assisting in all practice areas of the firm, especially trained in administrative matters and trademark infringement litigation, he has also been involved in many investigations and cases related to piracy of products and services. Currently, he is in charge of managing the portfolio of trademark, patent, copyright and related rights cases, although he is a source of knowledge and a mentor for the entire firm; additionally, he provides advice on immigration matters and is part of the firm’s team of legal consultants.

Alvaro Maldonado

Corporate Law Specialist

He obtained his law degree from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés in the city of La Paz. He worked as a consultant for the IDB with the BOLINVEST Foundation. He was active in the General Directorate of Customs, legal advisor to the Autonomous Municipal Government of La Paz, advisor to the General Directorate of Prevention and Rehabilitation of Drug Consumption, the Ministry of Health in the Mental Health Program and participated in the Legislative Assembly in the Commission of the Armed Forces and National Police.

He was a member of the Commission of Indigenous and Native Peasant Municipal Autonomies, in the Constitution Commission, was Head of Transparency of the Senate Chamber, in his career he was External Legal Advisor of the Autonomous Municipal Governments of Guaqui, Desaguadero and Chacarrilla, he did consultancies for the Autonomous Government of Lagunillas, for the Ministry of Justice and an active member in the Ministry of the Presidency Vice-Ministry of Autonomies.

Raúl Salta

Lawyer graduated from the Universidad Mayor de San Andrés – UMSA, the most prestigious Law School in Bolivia, where he obtained his undergraduate degree specializing in «International Law»; Diploma in «Constitutional Procedures» from the Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno – UAGRAM; Diploma in «Public Management for Territorial Development» from the Latin American Faculty of Social Sciences – Masters for Development MpD – Universidad Católica Boliviana «San Pablo»; Diploma in Higher Education from Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno – UAGRAM; Diploma in «Tax Law» from Universidad Empresarial de Los Andes.

He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Constitutional and Procedural Law at the Universidad Autónoma Gabriel René Moreno – UAGRAM. He has more than 23 years of experience in public management at the national, departmental and municipal levels of government, with extensive experience in Autonomy Law, Constitutional Law, Administrative Law, Municipal Law and Tax Law.

Juan Diego Andrade

Civil and Criminal Law Specialist

Juan Diego obtained his law degree from the Universidad Católica Boliviana and holds a Diploma in Constitutional Thought and Contemporary Law from the Universidad Católica Boliviana. Juan Diego has extensive training in civil and civil procedural matters, particularly in drafting and elaboration of contracts.

He has developed her litigation skills in civil and commercial matters, demonstrating high capacity in ordinary and order for payment trials. He has also taken courses in negotiation strategies, which allows him to easily manage conflict resolution in the field of conciliation and negotiation. He is also trained in Legaltech, which enables him to apply her knowledge in the digital sphere to optimize and facilitate his legal services.

Paulo Ponce

Criminal Law Specialist

Lawyer graduated from the Universidad Privada San Francisco de Asis in the city of La Paz with the degree of Distinguished, in his professional life he performed functions within the Departmental Prosecutor’s Office of La Paz, in the units of Anticorruption Crimes and Legitimization of Illicit Gains, Controlled Substances, Patrimonial Crimes, Projects of Hierarchical Resolutions, Analysis of New Cases and in the Platform of the Departmental Prosecutor’s Office of El Alto.

He has a specialty in Criminal Procedural Law as well as in Criminal Law, he also completed courses conducted by the Attorney General’s Office in Crimes of Controlled Substances as well as in Corruption Crimes Act 004, contributing in a great way with his great professional capacity in the area of Criminal Law in Bolivia.
